They were part of the Rockford scene but their popularity grew beyond their hometown and they would go on to play in all of Illinois, Eastern Iowa and Southern Wisconsin.  Blue Ice was represented by the Blytham Ltd. agency of Champaign, IL. The placement on a high profile roster like Blytham’s meant opening gigs for the likes of REO Speedwagon, Styx, The Shadows of Night and Three Dog Night.

The band was composed of brothers Rick Woodyatt (lead vocals) and Skip Woodyatt (lead guitar) Miles Musekamp (drums), Gail Ruback (bass guitar / vocals) and Jim Odom (organist / vocals).

They recorded one 45 Too Many Answers / People Get Ready Golden Voice GV 45 – 522 at Golden Voice studios in 1969.
